Webinar: Keys to Ensuring Efficiency & Profitability in the Year to Come
Join Charlie Bauer, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Databank and Brian Erlien, Business Development Manager at Esker as they uncover why forward-thinking businesses should kickstart their digital transformation plans for 2022 now.
When speaking with customers and partners this time of year, the conversation inevitably leads into what goals and initiatives are in the works for next year and the years to come. Some of the more notable priorities include continuing investments in cloud security, finding ways to better support remote work, and minimizing supply chain disruptions.
More than anything though, today’s companies are looking to become more resilient. There’s still good reason to be uncertain and uneasy about the future. To succeed in this environment, companies must adopt strategies that enable them to grow smarter and be prepared for unknown challenges to come.
Looking to Technology
So, what are companies doing to bolster their business resilience? The first area isn’t new — it’s a continuation of a decade-long trend of using cloud solutions. Cloud solutions not only support remote work environments, they have built-in scalability which helps facilitate smarter, more seamless growth. This isn’t to say everything should be moved to the cloud. Many CIOs are investing in hybrid cloud storage for disaster recovery and cybersecurity.
Companies are also looking for digital solutions that are designed for the hyper-automation of an entire business process (e.g, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, etc.). This not only helps their business run more efficiently and improves relationships with customers and suppliers, it also shows the employees they are willing to invest in technology that will make their life easier. This might be the biggest challenge companies face next year: how to retain and hire great people. There are a lot of factors that go into retention, but your technology stack can help by automating the tasks and business processes that should be automated.
