Our accessibility standards

Esker’s accessibility approach is based on recognized international and national standards:

• WCAG 2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), level AA
• RGAA (Référentiel général d’amélioration de l’accessibilité) 

These frameworks guide our teams in designing solutions that are more perceivable, operable, understandable and compatible with assistive technologies.

Our current accessibility level

Esker has conducted a comprehensive internal accessibility evaluation across most of its solutions, based on WCAG 2.2 Level AA and RGAA requirements.

The assessment confirmed a strong level of alignment with these accessibility standards, while also identifying opportunities for further improvement. Accessibility enhancements are continuously incorporated into our product roadmap as part of our commitment to making Esker solutions increasingly inclusive and accessible.

The evaluation covered representative interfaces and user journeys available at the time of assessment. Accessibility may vary depending on the solution, version, configuration and functionality used.

Accessibility built into our development lifecycle

Accessibility is embedded into Esker’s software development lifecycle.

New features, product updates and deployments are designed and reviewed with WCAG 2.2 Level AA and RGAA guidelines in mind as part of our design, development and quality assurance processes.

This approach helps prevent accessibility regressions and continuously improve our solutions as they evolve. When accessibility issues are identified, they are documented, prioritized and addressed through the product development process.

Expanding our accessibility program

Our accessibility evaluation currently covers the majority of Esker solutions. Other solutions, including Esker Collections Management and Esker Sourcing, follow the same accessibility guidelines as part of their ongoing product development and will progressively be incorporated into our broader accessibility evaluation program.

Our approach

Our accessibility efforts focus in particular on:

• Keyboard navigation
• Screen-reader compatibility
• Clear and consistent page structures
• Sufficient color contrast
• Visible focus indicators
• Accessible forms, labels and error messages
• Alternatives to information communicated through color
• Consistent and understandable interactions

We also work to improve the accessibility of shared components so that enhancements can benefit multiple Esker solutions.

Continuous improvement

Accessibility standards, technologies and user expectations continue to evolve. Esker is committed to regularly reviewing its practices, extending the scope of its evaluations and continuously improving the accessibility of its solutions.
