10,000 Trees Initiative: Partnership with the National Forest Foundation

Hannah Denning

As one of our three pillars of our Corporate Social Responsibility and our aspiration to eliminate paper for organizations around the world. Esker is partnering with the National Forest Foundation (NFF) to plant 10,000 trees in 2021. Esker looked to redefine their approach this year, part of that being centered around the company’s environmental impact. With that, we are donating $10,000 to the National Forest Foundation as part of their campaign, 50 Million For Our Forests.

The NFF launched their 50 Million For Our Forests campaign on Earth Day in 2018. They plan to raise funds through Earth Day 2023 and aim to have all projects completed by 2025. For every $1 donated, they will plant 1 tree in our National Forests. For every 2 trees planted, 1 metric ton of carbon dioxide is removed from the atmosphere. To date the NFF has planted more than 22 million trees across the United States National Forests, which means 11 million metric tons of carbon dioxide has been removed from the atmosphere.

On Earth Day 2021, Esker announced our initiative to plant 10,000 trees this year in an effort to help restore our planet. By partnering with the NFF, they are helping us meet that goal and offset our company’s environmental impact.
