Esker Proposes New Supervisory Board Member
LYON, France and MIDDLETON, Wis. — May 18, 2020 —
Esker, a worldwide leader in AI-driven process automation solutions and pioneer in cloud computing, today announced that it will propose the appointment of Mr. Jean-Pierre Lac as a member of its Supervisory Board at its upcoming shareholder meeting on June 18, 2020. Lac will replace Mr. Kléber Beauvillain who does not wish to renew his mandate after serving as Vice President of Esker’s Supervisory Board since 2000.
Lac began his career in the Rhône Poulenc group in 1975. He joined the Philips group in 1991 as the Financial Director for France, then as Global Treasurer based in the Netherlands. He returned to Rhône Poulenc in 1997 as CFO of the Agrochemicals division, a position he held after the Hoechst merger which lead to Aventis Cropscience. Lac joined the SEB group in 2001 as CFO, a position he retained until his retirement in 2014, after having contributed significantly to the growth of the company. He held various associative positions as President of Lyon Place Financière et Tertiaire from 2013 to 2019 and then as National Coordinator of Places Financières Régionales. He is also an advisor to the Economic Social Environmental Council of the Auvergne Rhône Alps Region and administrator of various industrial or tertiary companies.
Lac’s expertise in the field of corporate finance brings strong business skills to Esker’s Supervisory Board, specifically related to the needs and requirements of Esker customers. Lac’s selection demonstrates Esker’s willingness to take into account the needs and expectations of its users into the governance of its organization. Additionally, Lac’s international career and his involvement in the presidency of Lyon Place Financière demonstrate Esker’s ambition to approach its development on a global scale supported by strong local involvement.
