Director of Strategic Alliances

Esker Inc. is adding a Director of Strategic Alliances to its U.S. leadership team.  This position will report to the U.S. COO with dotted line to the World Wide (WW) Director of Strategic Alliances based in Esker headquarters in Lyon, France.  This position will be responsible for exploring and leading the organization in the pursuit of new business markets and partner relationships that support the strategic growth of the company.  The primary focus will be to pursue and explore strategic relationships with the large consulting companies in the Americas (Accenture, KPMG, EY, etc.), to find ways for them to recommend, resell and implement our solutions.  Additional tasks include building relationships with large ERP providers, or other partners that can enhance the strategic value of our solutions

**This position is in our Madison, WI office so this person must live in the Madison area, or at least be willing to commute.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Director of Strategic Alliances is accountable for decisions involving business development and growth strategies that include but are not limited to the following activities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with large consulting firms within the Americas
  • Establish and maintain relationships with large ERP providers, like SAP and Oracle for the Americas market, leveraging corporate initiatives and initiating local activities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic partners that can enhance the value of our solutions to our customer base
  • Coordinate efforts with WW Director of Strategic Alliances and colleagues within Esker’s subsidiaries 
  • Enterprise application experience; must be comfortable learning and demonstrating enterprise Esker’s SaaS solutions 
  • Work closely with Marketing to budget, plan and coordinate business development marketing activities and tradeshows/conferences
  • Record all activities and events in our CRM program (Salesforce.com) to ensure that management can easily view all business development activities
  • The ability to travel (including international) up to 50% of the time 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Required Work Experience:

  • At least 5 years of Business Development experience in the enterprise software field
  • A self-starter who requires minimal direction or supervision
  • Past business experience working or partnering with large consulting firms or ERP companies is a plus
  • Hunter mentality.  Ability to generate and establish new relationships from the ground up
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with a diverse audience, from senior management to sales people in the field along with our partners
